Michelin tyres: range and fitting guide

Michelin's UK catalogue covers car, SUV and van tyres. Its current range separates everyday road use, performance driving and seasonal choices, so the Michelin name alone is not enough to identify the right tyre.

We sell new tyres by phone, but online ordering is under maintenance. This guide does not show live prices or availability, confirm fitment, or endorse a particular model. Call 0121 389 4396 to discuss current options.

What the Michelin range includes

  • The UK catalogue offers summer and all-season tyres, with separate listings for vehicle type and dimensions.
  • Michelin's range includes Pilot Sport performance models alongside tyres positioned for everyday use; compare the actual model rather than treating the whole brand as one performance category.
  • Some catalogue entries are marked suitable for electric vehicles. Check the particular tyre's load rating and your vehicle requirements instead of assuming any Michelin tyre suits an EV.

How to choose the right Michelin tyre

  1. Confirm fitment. Read the vehicle handbook or door-jamb label for the approved width, profile and rim diameter. Some vehicles require different specifications front and rear. Learn to read your tyre size.
  2. Match load and speed ratings. The size alone is not enough; check the required load index, speed symbol and any reinforced or manufacturer-specific markings.
  3. Choose for the journey. If the specific model offers summer, winter or all-season versions, compare the tyre suited to your conditions. Never infer a season or vehicle class from the brand alone.
  4. Compare the individual label. Wet grip, rolling resistance and external noise are measured for the actual tyre model and size—not for a whole brand. Read UK tyre-labelling guidance ↗.

Before and after fitting

Check the tyre’s sidewall markings against your vehicle before bringing it in. If you are changing only part of a set, ask about vehicle and axle requirements, especially for all-wheel drive. After fitting, use the vehicle manufacturer’s cold-pressure figures and inspect for uneven wear.

Keep an eye on tread depth and visible damage. The Highway Code’s maintenance guidance ↗ explains tyre safety checks. See our replacement guide and pressure guide for more practical advice.

Questions about Michelin tyres

Does Sona Tyres stock Michelin?

This directory does not track stock. We sell new tyres by phone; call 0121 389 4396 for current options and prices. Online ordering is under maintenance.

Can I bring Michelin tyres I bought elsewhere?

Yes, you can book fitting for tyres you already own, provided the tyres are suitable for your vehicle and safe to fit. Our team can assess them at the garage.

Which Michelin model fits my car?

We cannot determine this from the brand name. Confirm the approved size and ratings against your vehicle handbook and the exact model’s specification before purchasing.
